REPORT – XVII ECPD INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL PREVENTION, DETECTION AND MANAGEMENTOF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES Hotel Splendid – Budva, 22-25 June 2026
European Center for Peace and Development (ECPD) of the United Nations University for Peace has organized the XVII ECPD International Summer School on Cardiovascular Diseases with the main topic “Prevention, Detection and Management of Cardiovascular Diseases”, which was held from June 22 to 25 in Budva – Hotel Splendid.
The School was opened by introductory speeches of Academician Prof. Dr. Negoslav Ostojić, ECPD Executive Director, Academician Prof. Dr. Vladimir Kanjuh, Director of the ECPD Medical and Bio-Medical Studies, President of the School Council, President of the Committee for Cardiovascular Pathology SASA, Belgrade, and Academician Prof. Dr. Milan Nedeljković, President of the Serbian Medical Society, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.
Director of the School was Academician Prof. Dr. Duško Vulić, Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska, Faculty of Medicine, University of Banja Luka, and Co-Directors of the School were: Academician Prof. Dr. Miodrag Ostojić, SASA, Belgrade; Academician Prof. Dr. Nathan D. Wong, University of California, Irvine, USA, and Prof. Dr. Ian Graham, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and Academician Prof. Dr. Milan Nedeljković.

The Program was internationally and nationally accredited. By the Health Council of Serbia, the Program was accredited as an International seminar of the 1st category, with 14 points for lecturers and 7 points for participants. Accreditation number А-1-815/26.
