ECPD SPECIALIST SEMINAR
LASER THERAPY
We have the pleasure to invite you to take part in the work of the ECPD Specialist Seminar “Laser Therapy”. The seminar is designed for specialist training of medical doctors, dentists, and physiotherapists with Diploma of higher education in health care, for the use of low power laser for therapeutic purposes.
The program is accredited by the Health Council of Serbia as a National Seminar of the 1st category with 12 points for lecturers and 6 points for participants. The accreditation number of the Seminar is A-1-991/24.
Director of the Seminar and leading lecturer is Prof. Dr. Milica Lazović, Professor at the ECPD UN University for Peace.
Teaching plan includes the following topics:
· Laser beam characteristics
· Types of lasers
· Biological effects of laser
· Application of low power laser in medicine
· Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LLLT) versus High Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT): How to decide which one to apply
· A special review of the method of obtaining HILT compared to LLLT and whether only the difference in the method of obtaining and the much larger difference in the price of the device determine the final effects of the therapy
· Application of laser in physical medicine, sport medicine, dermatology, rheumatology, dental medicine, neurological diseases
· Treating wounds with laser
· Reflex-therapy and laser-puncture
· Introducing techniques of work and practical training for the use of low power laser
· Bioptron light therapy
Organisation of the Seminar
The curriculum of the Seminar includes theoretical lectures and practical training for the use of laser for therapeutic purposes.
ECPD will provide participants of the Seminar with appropriate literature and teaching materials to help them follow the lectures effectively.
Certificate
Based on the participation in lectures and acquired knowledge and skills during the Seminar, participants will receive an internationally and nationally recognized Certificate of the ECPD University for Peace established by the United Nations.
